“Olympos” uses the best salep varieties, as well as selected aromatic herbs & sugar in order to create a drink without preservatives, ready for you to enjoy it. Salep is an orchid of which bulb the drink that bears the name is produced. This orchid grows & is cultivated/nourished in the high mountains of the Balkans & the Middle East. It is a traditional caloric drink that relieves the sore throat & eases the stomach pain. It fights asthma symptoms & may be used as a tranquillizer before sleep because it contains neither caffeine nor theine. Salep is also attributed aphrodisiac qualities, this is why in ancient times it was called “Satyrion” (from the ancient Greek word Satyros).
“Salepi me Safran, Kanela & Garifallo” combines salep with the special flavour of saffron & its properties as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory & thrombolytic, contributing to the good health of the body. It soothes aching kidneys & helps digestion.
Preparation Instructions: Dissolve thoroughly the content of the envelope in 150ml (medium-sized cup) cold water. Bring to boil while stirring continuously!
