“Horafi” (cho-rá-fi) in Greek means field, but for us, it is much more than that. It is an idea, it is the heritage passed down from our fathers & forefathers. It is all the small things we do every day in order to create high-quality products with the utmost respect for the environment.
Our medium white beans are produced in Koufalia, Thessaloniki. The mild local climate, fertile soils of the Axios river & the small family farming favour the cultivation of our medium beans, giving them their outstanding quality. Buttery texture & rich aroma, thin-skinned & easy to prepare. When it comes to taste, the beans are usually quite mild whether raw or cooked. They typically have a smooth texture that “melts” when it hits the mouth. Excellent for soups & salads.
