“Horafi” (cho-rá-fi) in Greek means field, but for us, it is much more than that. It is an idea, it is the heritage passed down from our fathers & forefathers. It is all the small things we do every day in order to create high-quality products with the utmost respect for the environment.
Our “mavromatika” aka black-eyed beans (peas) are produced in Koufalia, Thessaloniki. They’re generally very pale in colour with the characteristic black dot. Black-eyed beans (peas) have been grown in the fields of the area for decades. They are incredibly nutrient dense-packed & a good source of several important micronutrients. They are excellent for salads.
