“Horafi” (cho-rá-fi) in Greek means field, but for us, it is much more than that. It is an idea, it is the heritage passed down from our fathers & forefathers. It is all the small things we do every day in order to create high-quality products with the utmost respect for the environment.
Our “fava” aka yellow split peas are produced in Trilofos, Thessaloniki. They are a purely Greek variety called “Imia” that has adapted perfectly to the region’s climate & soil conditions. The peas are triangular, square or pyramid sized seeds, beige coloured with spots, prior to dehulling & cracking. They boil easily, without getting muddy, & they have very tasty characteristics.
